Bride 2 Builder
It's no secret to those closest to me that Simple like Sunday has unfortunately had to take a back seat of late... planning a wedding and building our first home all within 12 months has business planning on a back burner. However, it's been an enlightening and exciting process... two very different aspects of styling being undertaken, interior vs wedding.
HOUSE
First, let's talk about the house. We're in the early stages of building our very first home, there is literally frames and a roof BUT as an interior style enthusiast, naturally I'm a little bit excited about the point at which I get to choose tiles, bench tops, textures and colour palettes for the inside. I thought I would share with you a few little pieces of inspiration currently collected on my Pinterest board.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks, I'll pop up some colour palettes/texture and mood boards for some of my rooms...

WEDDING
Every conversation after I got engaged started with "You're going to absolutely love planning your wedding because that's what you do, don't you?" Answer, no.
Styling is definitely part of the planning process but when it comes to booking vendors, working out timing and writing vows, I'd take the making and creating any day (lets just say a career in event management is my worst nightmare). What I really wanted to do was rock up on the day with all my props and go to town decorating however I was told I 'won't have time' for that BUT nonetheless, I enjoyed the process of putting a colour and a theme together.
Whilst I was absorbed by how my wedding was going to look, I didn't forget some wise words from a good friend of mine who very clearly stated to me "if you're too busy being worried about the flowers placed down your aisle instead of looking your future husband in the eyes, you've missed the point of getting married." You know what... every single word was true. Nothing around me mattered, so... what I'm trying to say is yes, it's always wonderful to have a day that reflects the two of you BUT really it's about getting married to your favourite person with everyone you love looking on. BEST. FEELING. EVER.
